Pendant lights

Hi there.i am wanting to hang three pendant lights to one switch,joining all the wires in a three terminal four connection junction box.there is only one supply cable in the conservatory void.i have joined all the relevant colours together but no joy.the lights take a screw 100w max bulb and it is a dimmer switch.anybody help.cheers

Hi, picutres of your work would help. Have you checked the connections at the first light(where the mains feed is) ?

Make sure you have copper on cooper and have removed enough insulation.
Check your connections at the dimmer COM =mains L , L1=feed to light.

Where is this junction box?

I can't see a need for a junction box in the conservatory 'void'. That's just going to cause aggro later on.

Did the cable in the void not have any power to it then?

Is the cable connected at the switch?

Is there a fused spur connection unit somewhere that's not connrcted/switched off/fuse removed?
