Hi all,
Changing over from a ceiling rose pendant (which is working fine) to a light fitting from Ikea and I have there are a couple of things I would like advice on please:

1. I cannot see any live red wires in the middle loop terminal, but I can see some behind the pendant so I think they have been joined behind there, is that anything to be concerned about?

2. I can see black wires wired into the neutral terminal which I think is ok.

3. There is a black wire in the switched live terminal which isnt marked with any red or brown tape, but I am thinking this is the switched live.

Am I on the right track?

The Wire on the Right should be Switched Live and you're quite right it should be sleeved - Red as it is old type Insulation colours.

1. No concern if terminated correctly - just a bit pointless.

2. Yes, ok - but no need to twist together, especially as there is a spare terminal

3 Correct.

You are on the right track.
