hi. I am looking to remove a radiator from the ground floor of my house on a permanent basis.

I have a combination boiler on the ground floor.

As I have a wooden floor, I can't cap off the pipes below the floor, so will have two pipes sticking out - which is no big deal as there is a piece of furniture going where the radiator currently is.

I've searched lots of forums for a guide how to do this, but am a bit confused about what is required in terms of draining the system etc. THere seems to be lots of conflicting advice!

Can you anybody describe the steps required or point me in the direction of a guide please

cheers[/quote]

drop system pressure to zero via rad air bleed, turn both rad valves off,cut your pipe with a pipeslice and fit comp or push fit cap
