I need to permanently remove a downstairs radiator whos pipes come up from a concrete floor. Is it acceptable to just cap them off close to the floor leaving the fittings proud of the concrete? I don't really want to start breaking the area arond the pipes incase I cause an under-floor leak.

Cheers!

No problems with that, but you don't want the stop ends to be bumped with the vacuum cleaner though. Can look a little strange.....!
