Can anyone offer any advice?

I have painted above and around my shower but the paint just peels off after a while to reveal the bare plaster.

I always use matt paint as I am not keen on shiny paint

I have tried priming the plaster as suggested in manuals (watered down paint)

Do I need to prime with a oil based paint here?

I'm having the same problem. I'm told it's because i used emulsion paint and i need to use a special shower paint which is water resistant.

It's because of the steam, better ventilation might help.

I was told to lining paper the walls first and then paint that which should fix the problem apparently.
