Hi my front wipers have stoped working on 2003 hdi, just been told by a garage (not pug dealer) that the sim module maybe us, or the body module, after charging me £40 he's still not sure what the problem is!!! Yeah Im well ****ed off by now! Anyone else had this problem with this model of hdi?

If they tested it properly [If...?] then the "switch on the wipers" network signal from the Comms to the BSi could have been found to be missing.
That would be a pretty good indication that the problem lies in the Comms; it's the steering-column ECU that transmits all the stalk functions, radio functions, airbag and immobilizer - they fail in droves.
Unless you have ESP, they're plug-and-play [you just keep fitting them until you find one that works...] so not too bad to replace. [Once you've got the airbag off...]
