Well folks, it's that time of the week again!

This week we have another switch from the same property as the last two weeks.

I removed te plaster as I could not make head nor tail of what was going on.

Starter for ten: The grey cable is the feed to the landing lights.

hi well i have never liked neutrals joints in switches
but thats taking the mick

Lets have a "Spot the missing grommett" competition.

As you say. a nice neutral connx. was that buried in the plaster like that, or was it taped up (at least).

Please tell me that's a 25mm, not a 16mm box

RF I always enjoy your pic of the week series.

Have you considered dedicating a site to it? MSN groups for example

It had a ceramic screwit on the end of the neutrals, which fell off as I removed the plaster.

Yeah, it's 25mm. I think it is just the angle of the photo which makes it look smaller.

Which terminals do those wires that dissapear behind the switch connect to?

The grey wire on the right is a 2.5mm² feed. Red goes to common, black is neutral. The earth is cut off.

The single insulated red is the feed to the bedroom next door.

The middle white 1.0mm² cable is a neutral (black) and a strapper (red)
The left hand white 1.0mm² cable is the other strapper and a spare. The CPCs are connected to the back box, but not to earth.

The two white cables goto a joint in the loft where they are jointed out to the other two way switch and the lights.

Aww shucks

I'm not sure I'm internet savvy enough to be able to do something like that. Is it a simple thing to do?
