Picture of the week - I know I have nicked RF's idea.

Is that a B40 with a ring final on it, second from the main switch? Hard to see the numbers.

It is a radial with a B40 on it. The radial is connected via a 6mm cable that persumably goes to a JB somewhere and from then on is 2.5mms. What you can see are 2 pieces of 2.5 used to extend the 6mm inside the CU.

Good Spot :D

Which regulation prohibits strip connector again?

There are none if it enclosed and accessible - an oxymoron perhaps?

But he has extended a 6mm cable with two bits of 2.5, by my calculation 2.5+2.5 does not equal 6. :) This circuit is also fed from an incorrect sized breaker as it is a B32, and although it looks like a ring at first glance it is in fact a 2.5mm radial circuit.
