Pink morada lining fabric removal

Hello, I've taken up my kitchen carpet, and below that is a pink coloured Morada lining fabric. Appears to be paper, glued down. Very old. How would I get this off the floor, and would it contain anything hazardous?

If it’s paper just wet a scrape up.
