I expect that most professionals would effect a proper repair on the spot.

The brass compression slip repair fitting is a fraction of the cost and easy to use!

Not always that easy though. Nail through a pipe, isolating valve doesn't turn off, cold main stop tap inaccessible, stop tap in street concreted in. Let's stand and watch this leak bring the ceiling down whilst we wait for the water undertaker to come and dig up the stop tap.

Main issue that I see is most leaks are smack on top of a joist where you couldn't get the tool in.

Did you lot not see the screw in stopcock at the show a year ago?

Just screws up with a spanner on 15 mm tube and you can then turn off the water.

You do not need to turn the water off and you don't lose a drop fitting it.

I've got two on the van. Waiting for them to bring out a 22mm one.

Cheers tony. Thats a useful bit of kit. Just ordered one. 36 quid from corgi direct

Is there anything special about the installation kit? As far as i can see its just a posi and extended hex bit and a socket bit. I have all of these already so i didn't order it
