Please can anyone tell me what these pipes are ?

They are situated in the kitchen wall to the right of the sink and about a foot above it. I need to tile the wall and theya re in the way.

New to this so hope I am doing it all right! dont know how to get the picture from 'my album to this message sorry. OH think I have done it

So if they are gas do you think they are still used will we blow up if we gring them down or might they be water and we will drown?? :?: :!:

I dont know what it is ive never seen a fitting like that, but it wont be gas, gas doesnt need to come in pairs, heating flow and return?
or hot and cold water but you wouldnt put potable water into steel pipe.
for my money I'd hazzard to say it was heating :?

If they are live then 1 or the other WILL happen

Why not ya get an engineer out to check and make safe

In the area he is saying which I just read back again lol,, would say its hot and cold for a sink ,, maybe a butler sink !!

Thank you all of you I think we will have get an engineer to check them out rather than risk undoing anything . Thanks for the advice.

Those plugs are threaded in so if your feeling like you can then slowly undo with a spanner and see if they weep water,, if its gas then youll easily be able to screw em back in but advise if its gas to turn off @ the meter and call a corgi reg engineer out !!

think waterworks is spot on, top will be gas bottom water.
