wanting to install something along the lines of 1 of these kits where an outside mounted pir activates a recorder box of a barking dog followed by a time delayed internal lights activation to make the intruder think the dog has sensed close outside activity quickly followed by the home occupier being alerted to this coming downstairs and turning the lighting on..to startle the would be intruder.before attempted entry..anyone know where i can purchase something like this or reccommend a similar product equally as effective with same deterring results...+ how to wire up at this 1st fix stage especially..cheers again george

Problem is that the 'routine' will be fixed- as in fixed time for PIR, fixed barking from recorder and fixed time for light to activate.

Criminals are low life scum, but are smart enough to work out that such defence is pretend and simply auto bot machine driven / activated.

Take the old ruse, activate alarm- hide, activate alarm hide- 3rd time break in because the neighbours, central alarm control will all assume system is knackered.

I'm really not convinced that a electronic bark would output at different noise, tone levels to make a criminal think it's a real dog. Real dogs bark in different ways (and tend to bump around, bashing the door and trying to get through the letter box or to see via a window).
