I have an external PIR sensor light that has been turned OFF for several years. Bought at Wickes about 10 yrs ago.
I turned it ON and it worked fine, as expected.
But I needed to override the PIR and have the light ON always.
So I turned the light OFF. Came back 2 mins later and then tried ON-OFF-ON.
But the PIR was still active.
Do I have the correct switch sequence?

That was correct for some lights that had that function.
Not all do - it's possible yours doesn't.

No, when the system is powered and the light is not lit, then you turn it OFF/ON once or maybe twice.

Then when you want it back to normal, turn OFF for two minutes and then ON. The light should come on for the time set and then revert to sensor mode.

Thanks for the replies.
The manual override was working when I installed the light all those years ago.
But I threw away the user instructions...I'll try EFLI's tip:
