Hi
Im wanting to plaster the wall around my fireplace. Im wanting to do the full wall but only upto the edges of the fireplace opening. The insides of the opening will be left as exposed brick. Ive been advised to dot and dab the whole wall but a couple of options to finish around the opening. 1 is to use a metal edging bead and the other is to stop the plasterboard before the opening and use bonding around the opening and roll it to the edge
just wondered if either option would be better. Wound the heat be likely to cause any issues
Thanks in advance

Plaster the red bits?
Yeah the red bits plus the full wall as the plaster is poor. Ill be knocking it all off and back to brick. Then plasterboard the whole wall.question was really on best way to finish it at the edge of the opening
