Plasterboard ceiling in bathroom

if it is a ceiling with a roof above i would recommend using duplex (foil backed) plasterboards. otherwise use regular boards.
with a 200mm buffer zone of air effectively acting as an insulation barrier, then i guess the effect of foil backed will be lessened.

What effect am I trying to achieve? Is it for thermal insulation or for moisture reduction? The new boards will be below the original ceiling as mentioned, and then above that there is 200mm of insulation and then the loft floor.
duplex boards help with condensation, where the cooler loft air meets the warmer room air.
the lesser the difference in temperature the lesser the effect of condensation.
