plasterer snipped MEB

Now not enough length to reach gas supply so the question is, is it an awkward re-run or is it legitimate to extend it via crimped connection or JB. It will be accessible. Any views welcome please.

Same thing happened on a job I was on. Plumber removed a sink ready for a kitchen fit and cut the PEB to the water supply as it ran through the cupboard. Why on earth he couldn't have disconnected it from the BS951 clamp and reconnected it I don't know. Ignorance

crimping 10mm2, any suggestions please., only ever used yellows and the standard rachechets up to 6mm2.

I bet that same plumber would be quite upset if you, because you couldn't be bothered to do it properly, just cut through one of his pipes and expected him to sort it out.

You will need to use copper tube butt crimps, and crimpers designed for uninsulated crimps.

The crimp should then be covered with heatshrink sleeving.

Of course. No main earthing or protective bonding conductors should be disconnected whilst an installation is in service, nor any cpc's whilst a circuit is energised.
