I have a ceiling that I want to plaster over the Artex.
It has nice coving that I wish to keep, and in other rooms I was able to cut around and remove the lathe and plaster before re-boarding and skimming.
However the coving in this room has multiple cracks, which I intend to fill/glue with Soudal Fix All, but I'm not sure if it will withstand the ceiling being pulled down.

The ceiling itself is crisscrossed with many hairline cracks, and there is slight flexing at these places.
I was thinking of doing the same glueing with these cracks, but would that suffice?
Would it be better to sand back around the cracks and maybe tape over?
Finally is PVA sufficient for bonding, or is there something better?
Or is the ceiling simply doomed to crack again!

See below for pictures.
The Artex has been tested and came back negative for asbestos.
Any advice appreciated.

Could you not overboard it and butt 9mm board upto the top nib on the coving?

I'd prefer not to change the appearance of the coving if possible.
But if skimming over isn't a good idea I might have to rethink.

Fair enough just an idea I had, not sure about the plastering (y)

Cheers.
The finishing is not a problem as I'm quite good at that.
Just trying to work out if what I'm trying to do is literally just plastering over the cracks!
