Hello. Ive started to dryline a ceiling and thought better of it. Can anybody advise if you can skim over easyfill? Do you need to pva etc. Many thanks.

If you can't dry line you certainly can't skim but yes you need to PVA it or it will suck the moisture out of your mud.

This is true....dry lining and easi fill is the "easy" way out if you like. Pva it and skimover, or get a spread in to do it.

ok thanks. Will the parts of the plasterboard that are bare be ok with the PVA?
I should explain that the reason I thought better of it isnt because its gone wrong itds just that there is a lot of daylight shining across it so dont think its worth doing the second coat of filler. Cheers

if you havnt second coated in then it will look bad. Second coat it and sand, see how it is first? May save you £200 getting in skimmed.

Thanks for everyones advice. I Gave it a 2nd coat in the hope it loks alright. Wont know until its painted though so may still be skimming.

Just thought id mention that I find skimming easier. If you're jointing and you get misses and tramlines etc and cant get them out after a few attempts you got problems. with skimming your misses etc get sorted when you rub or polish up.
