Plastic Pipe and Pushfit connectors

Are 15/22 mm pushfit connectors universal??

i.e, can any brand of pipe be used with any brand of connector. Can all pushfit connectors also accept copper pipe??

pushfit on copper will break earth continuity unless you use yorkshire tectite fittings
