I am trying to replace the twisted flexi hose and inlet pipe on my toilet cistern but I can't loosen the connection between the fixed pipe and the old flexi.

I know you turn to the left to loosen - but the tiny amount I have been able to move it just seems to be tighter! I am looking down along the flexi towards the fixed pipe turning to the left, is that correct?

I'm not blonde, honest, just a desperate redhead.

Don't forget you need spanner on both, or you may damage the fixed pipe.

Blonde check -----It is a compression fitting with nuts and not push fit?
