Been reading in this month's engineer mag that consultations are underway to bring out a compulsory licence to be a plumber,with periodic retraining etc!.to improve energy conservation etc!!

. More law and policies which will cost us time and money and will increase overheads, that have to be passed on to customers, making us more expensive than the cowboys who won't comply and will keep riding their horses!
Plumbing is one skill
Energy conservation is a different skill.
If a plumber is licenced as a plumber then he or she should have a separate licence if he or she also has the skills to offer energy conservation advice to his or her clients.
