The previous owners have had down 22mm followed by 9mm ply in half of the hallway to level to the existing screed level. They’ve only screwed at 500mm centres.
My tiler has suggested to put down a sheet of 5.5mm ply on top and screw at 100mm centres (300mm is the standard he said) and the self level the existing screed up to it. Could the 3.6mm ply work instead so it’s less self levelling compound to use?
How does that sound?
Thanks
