Hello,

Stumbled across your forum and am hoping for some kind persons help!!

Just fitted a new spa/jacuzzi in my bathroom and the hot water flow isn't anywhere as good as my old bath.

The spa has two 15mm flexible tap connectors coming from it and a plug which i plug into the mains. I have fitted a 22mm to 15mm reducer on the hot pipe so it fits the tap connectors, why would this cause such a slow flow from my hot tap?

i don't have a combi boiler, its an ordinary indirect system.

Hope some of you have come across this before and can provide some logic because i am confused.

Thanks,

Dave

Change the taps

Aint possible as it is a purpose made tap to fit the spa so not an option. Isn't there anything i can fit to my plumbing to boost the pressure?

Shower pump !

We react fast here! ( Or should I say respond quickly ? )

What is the mains being used for on your unit?

Some already have a pump built in! Does yours? If it does then is it working ???

Usually the pump is only for recirculating the bath contents!

In that case a shower pump will greatly improve the flow through the taps but it does have to be installed correctly and chosen to match the installation.

If its a big bath a bigger pump would be better
I had a Stuart Turner showermate (1.4bar) in my standard bath for 7 yrs no probs but a ST Monsoon is better for baths in my experience.

Just a thought..there isnt any debis in the end of the tap?
Possibly caught behind the flow director/filter thingy
Could also try unscrewing this from the end of the tap as I have had these restrict flow noticeably
