Popping noise and flickering lights but no fault found?

Could someone advise me please? We had a EV charger fitted in over a month ago and ever since it was fitted the lights in the extension as well as a floor lamp plugged in the extension started flickering. Those are on 2 different rings. Also, the light in the dining room flicker too (another ring), not sure if it's at the same time. Not determined if any other lights are affected yet as the flickering is intermittent and difficult to replicate. I can hear a pop when they flicker. Not sure where the popping noise is coming from but I can hear it more if it's hot and the windows are open. The electricity metre is in the downstairs toilet (extension). The fuse board is in the hallway, on the other side of the wall the electricity metre is on. We had the electrician who did the EV charger come back and check things over but he couldn't find anything obvious and didn't know what it could be. It seems to affect 3 rings at least (got 11 in total), 2 of which are right next to each other and one on the other side of the board. The electrician says he didn't touch those sides of the board but when I watched him, he seems to have been ripping wires out right left and centre ! Where shall we start? What could it be? I would ideally like to avoid the house burning down while we're asleep.
PS. Not sure if relevant, we've got solar panels and the inverter is in the loft in the original part of the house, installed in 2011.
Many thanks

To me it sounds like a wire may be loose.
However I agree, get a 2nd opinion from an older electrician who may be more used to fault finding and will not have an issue with identifying an error from the previous electrician.

The popping noise and the lights flashing don't seem to be dependent on the charger being used. It seems the longer the lights in the extension are on, the more frequent the issue

The EV Charger was added to a replacement second CU right next to the main CU. The original Main CU has the "main" house on the left and the extension on the right. The second CU was about 15 years old and had just our solar PV on it but we were told that to add the EV Charger, we would need to replace it with a metal CU

Thanks
