Hello Ban-all-sheds, i can not believe you advertised it, you have to remember If I let you advertise something, (free) I will have to let some one else advertise something, (free) where will it stop?

If some one links to a product on xyz site as a suggestion for solving a particular problem that is fine, but to offer something is advertising. Advertising is how this site is paid for, if you want to advertise you have to pay.
