Lovely Gibson custom guitar Anna is playing, the very same custom that was used by radio head the creep.

She is interesting, I hadn't heard of her before. I looked up her other stuff and she has good taste in the songs she covers. Has a good treble guitar sound also.

Continuing the John Cale theme this Sunday morning, he is on here playing the celestial, which is a tiny, high-pitched piano...

What he said. Music was pretty much over by the 90s. Anything worth knowing was in the can by the 80s at the latest - with a few notable exceptions. Then they had the awful nasal whine of the Gallagher brothers.

Don't even get me started on the gash that's turned out now.
I started in 1990 going to free parties on the Blackdown hills, but my favourite times was between 1991 and 1994, going to gigs in Verbeer manor in Devon, Plymouth Warehouse, Sumo's in Weston-super-mare among others. Even beyond 1995 to as late as 2003, there were some superb clubs in Bristol which I used to DJ at, Cafe Blue, Club Loco. Plymouth Warehouse was still going strong until 1999. Beyond 2000 I lost interest in the club scene but I never stopped listening to the music.
I also listen to lots of other music as I'm pretty open minded. There's only a few artists I don't like, such as Bob Dylan, he's music's embodiment of the emperor's new clothes

You must be a bit older than me, did you ever go to the dome on a Thursday night?
Rarely. I did a hair show (Francescos) there once. We used to go to Wobble, Marco Polo's, Tin Tins, Bakers (the club), Stoodi Bakers, Bonds nighclub.

Prior to clubbing we used to go to illegal raves. Tickets were sold in a clothing shop (Cult Clothing I think) in town. Lifestyle 2000 gigs were incredible. Each rave tried to outdo the next with bigger and bigger sound systems. In the days before mobile phones - we had our pockets stacked with coins for the phonebox.

Miss Moneypennys at Bonds was spectacular. Because the gay club scene was prevalent, the girls were a lot less inhibited, once they were inside the venue. I saw things in there I'll never forget. We never had to queue either as long as big Dave was on the door.

No. I only remember big Dave because he was massive and would often turn up on the door in fancy dress.

Have to agree with you on that one. Don't know what all the fuss is about. To me, and I accept everyone is different, but he doesn't have a good singing voice and his tunes are dull and uninspiring. Would rather listen to a Leonard Cohen record.

Bob Dylan...I am massive fan. You either love him or you hate him. I've never been able to convert anybody!
