I might be wrong, and probably am, but I always had the impression that was about a free festival held in Windsor Great Park for several years.
I don't know exactly which festival, but yes. That song is one of the great hippy texts, like wow man!

If you are referring to the Bowie track, it was a festival in Beckenham he helped organise.

Hi Guys,
Thank you all for continuing this thread with some entirely new(to me) belters. Its brilliant discovering new stuff, & rewarding to know that somebody else on here likes Bruckner.

Here's something slightly different: teaching little ones to march up & down the back garden to the USMC cadence chant (with suitably changed words)"I dont know but I've been told " The kids turned into little Prussians & stamped away when hollerin' "three four".
The thing is that they immediately picked up the timing, & worked it to suit themselves with occasional skips & hops.

Continuing a series of US rock stars adopted by Britain, today it's Jimi Hendrix.

What you say, world-renowned rock star Jimi? Well, after struggling in America for years backing other, more famous people, he was discovered by Chas Chandler of the Animals and brought to London, and there made into a big star, becoming part of the UK scene long before the rest of the world latched on.

Jimi Hendrix, yet another wonder of the world that we wouldn't have known if it wasn't for Britain...

Dr. Feelgood 'Ain't Nothing Shaking (But the Leaves on the Trees)'. An old song, covered by many artists, including the Beatles, but I like the Feelgoods version best...

Sod that, I immediately had to turn it off, bloody mouth organs, they should all be destroyed.

Not my type of band if I'm honest but for some reason I always loved 'love will tear us apart' which is probably their best known toon, I only heard the one above about ten years ago and fell in love with that too.

Not my type of band but there is something about that first one that I took to. Even more weird is that I went out for a drink with pete a few weeks ago and he had that exact same coat that they was all wearing.
