I have a pottertons prima F (conventional un-sealed y plan system) about a year ago i changed the PCB (common fault) after it kept locking out as if overheat stat had kicked in and needed a Manual reset, a year later and the problem has returned.

When it is lit the pump runs fine the flue is not blocked I believe the 3 port mid is fine as heat starts to get thru to some rads also the valve and head was replaced a year ago.

The programmer broke some time ago and not replaced witch means the CH has been on permanently thorough out winter, could that of caused the PCB to fail Fter only 1 year?
Could the PCB of failed after just a year anyway?
I have considered the possibility of sludge in the system and I'm going to investigate that today.
Thank you for any help in advance.
