I have a Potterton Prima F boiler that is about 10 years old.

Control board was changed about three years ago.

Boiler lights OK but the main burner goes off after about 10 mins.

Boiler fan continues to operate as does the water pump BUT the boiler thermostat does not trip.

Three way valve operates normally.

All other thermostats are set high

Any ideas ?

Can I do anything myself or do I need to get a man in ?

Many thanks

Steve

go and check the flue outside and make sure the inner flue isn't corroded

By this do you mean the overheat red button doesn't pop out?

Is the fan operating properly, without rumbling noises? it might have slowed or seized when the bearings got hot.

Legally you must get a CORGI reg'd installer to open up the case , though more importantly he/she must properly check the case seals and flue performance before leaving.
