Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked already.

I have a Potterton combi 80 boiler. Recently a large rad in our bedroom came away from the wall.

We removed the rad and fixed it back to the wall. Since then the boiler has been making very strange noises. The HW is working fine, although the boiler sounds like it is straining when we run HW. When i turn on the Cent Heating the boiler makes very strange noises. Lots of banging, and it sounds like the thing is going to take off!

There is a valve below the boiler - not sure what this is - Any advice on the above?

Many thanks

Paul.

look at the pressure gauge under the boiler, this should be between 1 - 1.5
if its a zero then there is not water in the system, hence banging.

Fill up and see how you go!

This is a really bone question i know.

How do I 'fill up'?

thanks

paul
