Potterton ProMax Combi - Flush and Clean Sludge (micro-bore system)

Thanks, I think I would prefer to go down the route of a solder joint. I will attempt this but need to allocate plenty of time just incase. I've attached a drawing of where I think I should place the magnaclean. Does this look correct.

Also, before dismantling and cutting the pipes, is there anything I need to do other than drain the system? I assume I need to turn the boilers electrics off? What happens if someone turns a hot water tap on shouldn't be a problem right? they just wont get hot water. If you can kindly list everything that needs doing in order that will be great. Thanks.

I think you've got it

Thanks, i'm thinking before I install the magnaclean, should I drain the system then add some sort of chemical cleaner into the system then run it for certain days and then drain it again and then install the magnaclean? What would you recommend? And what brand/type of chemical is good for an initial clean?
