Can anyone please help me. I have a potterton puma 80. The pilot light is on but the heating is not working. There is also a strange smell coming from the top !!. When I turn the heating on their is no effot made to fire up. Please help. Thanks

Does the hot water work?
If the strange smell is anything like gas or boiler fumes then turn the boiler off and call for help.
If it smells like something burnt, that'll be your printed circuit board - common fault. WHole boiler would usually fail.

Thanks for replying. I am not sure if the hot water is working as my shower is electric. The smell went when the hearing was on standby. I will call for help. Thanks very much
