Hi, I have one of these and following the fault finding flowchart, I think the modulation board needs replacing (no leds on, 240v present on board, transformer does not have 240v supply but when it does, returns 24vDC across the 2 yellow wires). However, since I have been investigating the problem, I have noticed that the diverter valve is dripping water near the wax capsule head. Does anyone know if a dead boiler will cause this to happen or is it purely coincidental that 2 parts have failed at almost the same time. BTW, I don't think the dripping water ended up on the modulation board so did not cause it to fail. Many thanks for all replies.

Coincidence.
Pcb's on Pumas usually fail at the solder joint at the top left corner as you look at it.

Yes, this one did about 6 years ago almost to the day, it must have a built in calendar. Resistor R1 went, I resoldered and it lasted until now. This time, resoldering doesn't seem to have made a difference. The water is coming out of the little hole (holes?) in the diverter valve. What are these holes for? Also noticed a dribble coming from the pressure gauge as well. The pressure in the system is only about 0.5 bar at the moment. Thanks in advance.

I changed the pcb and the thing works like a dream now. Its an issue 5 board, nice thick "legs" for the 2 problem resistors. Also noticed that the time between gas on and ignition is a lot smaller so it doesn't "whoomph" like it used to. The diverter valve still leaks so its obviously coincidence. Hope all of this helps someone.
