Hi All
before you all groan ,yes I know these have been talked about but please help .We have a boiler thats not playing the game, I believe it could be dry joints on the pcb. Anyone know of a good solution eg reconditioned pcbs or not so pricey new ones.
Would be greatful for some help.

i wouldnt bother with reconditioned in this case but thats just personal preference.

why not take out the pcb and solder the dry joints yourself if you are on a tight budget?

Hi NICKSO
Ta for reply but thats too techi for an old boy like me.Do you know of some good parts retailers

personally we don't work on these crates anymore just refer the customer to poxy batterton
they created this situation by lying their butts off by denying that the PCB on these are Cr*p and continue to do so despite a guest appearance on the BBC's WATCHDOG programme

they can replace them again when they go wrong again in less than 6 months!
my reputation has got me a lot of business and i am not going to lose it for the heap of junk called the suprima

glad to hear it- taken them enough years to sort out
but we will stick with our decision for a while yet and see what happens

i dont know where you will get it cheapest im afraid.

quite often a one off on call assistance job from BG is the cheapest option for these.

I have dropped the front off, with power off but cannot see much this side .Funny though I put power on very carefully whilst front hanging down and low and behold the boiler worked just fine?. I know this is probably making some of you out there squirm but we are desperate.
It is pointing more and more to the PCB. Will take your advice and check out the competant fitters.
