as we live in a new home we was told by the heating engineer never to turn the boiler down as it works at its most efficiency is this true, as the water works from direct pressure mains the hot tank is a boilermate 2000 in a three storey house.

With a boilermate hes telling you the truth as these need very high temperatures to work correctly and most efficiently
