powder or ready mixed

Hi.

I have been using a powder type tile adhesive, but would like to know the difference between the 2.

I assumed that a 20kg bag of powder would give me a lot more than a 20kg tub of ready mixed, but it doesn't seem to be that much different.

Also what is better in quality.

Tub adhesive relies in evaporation to dry where as powdered or cement based drys through chemical reaction.

Cement based will generally be stronger,both tub and cement based are good in their specific applications.

I Also worked out that you get around 30% more coverage with the powdered version.

I have used powder throughout my property and it has been excellent.

I've used flexible adhesive and grout from Tile and Bath Co.

I've started to get a bit fed up with the mixing, but I'll stick with it.
