I'm in Scotland so there may be some slight differences but I wrote POA's for my old aunt, my wife and myself no problem. Have a look on the web for information/templates on forums.Your mum is a wise lady, it is important to have a Financial POA AND a Welfare one in the event of your mum going into a care home or similar and you will have some say. It is now a combined POA in Scotland.

I got lumbered with sorting out MILs cousins estate as she was next of kin and not capable of doing it, handed it to solicitor in the end
