Hi

Just wondering ifs acceptable to route power to my shed along a standard cable routed in metal conduit fixed to the (very solid) garden wall ?

Could be on its own radial from the CU

Burying the cable would be a nightmare

Thanks

Thanks Pete - Is that "SWA" I've seen mentioned ? yeah that would be much easier I think - wasn't sure if that had to be buried

Nothing “has to be buried”. cables need to be selected to suit the intended installation method and protected.

we have our power and ethernet going down a low garden fence to our shed. It was like that when we moved in. We've had an electrical survey done since, and they picked up that the sheathing is brittle and cracked due to UV rays. Knowing the previous owner, it was probably not the right type of thing to use in the first place.
