What would you guys who do it, normally say?
Do you guarantee that all radiators will be working perfectly?
Suppose there's a leak under the floor?
Suppose the system is worse in some way? It seems fairly frequent that a rad/pipe won't clear, and stops completely where it was just "very slow" before.

In a recent case there was flow (between flow and return, flusher appllied at the pump) with all rads shut, so apparently a bypass somewhere under a floor. That meant full flushing wasn't possible and the furthest rad went cold. Plumber is prepared to do some more work to find the problem free, but customer won't pay for what's been done so far.
Signed contract required!

i dont think we do although a disclaimer should be signed excusing from any damage caused from introducing chemicals and the high pressure to system.

obviously no system is gonna get back to 100% but if there is any improvement this should not be disregarded. especially if hidden pipework is a factor.

Probably a (partial?) one-pipe system - which makes power flushing very hard indeed!!

Pressure shouldn't be much more than 1.5 bar, so it's not likely to be a problem.

In this case as it happens a ballofix squirted from the gland under a bathroom floor at about 1.5 bar. It was as sealed system though so it was waiting to happen.

CCorgi it had, way back, been a one pipe system, converted to S plan. What are you thinking? An old radiator bypass lurking somewhere?

caveat emptor. in this case tradesman beware....

if you cant spot a dodgy site. then bad luck.

we too do a disclaimer for leaks on OLD pipework

but offer a three year guarantee on all our cleaning, installs repairs etc

in fact I had to go back to one the other day an re do it as the vlient had removed a rad and found black stuff in it, not much mind

The gaffer sent me back for a day to do it again, and i HATE powerflushing, the original job was two years ago.

That dont happen often but there you go what are you going to do (shrugs shoulders)

I don't do em chris but the Bg powerflushes come with a lifetime guarantee and a fixed price no matter how long it takes. I think the only exclusion is leaks on old pipes.
