powermax 155 faulty

hi im new to this site i have a powermax 155 and the problem is it locks out or trips the overheat red switches all the time
if i set it on a morning it will work fine water and heating then after about an hour it trips the switches or lockout i have to run the hot water and then reset switches or wait till everything cools down then it will work again
help o have little ons and its freezing
