My thermal store has a phex and a blending valve. Does that make me "special"?

Does the pump run that pumps hot water through the heat exchanger when there is a demand for domestic hot water ?
I am not referring to the CH pump that pumps water through the radiators as, from your comments, this is obviously OK.

Andytw. The hot water pump is boiling to touch and so are the pipes in and out of the hot water pump. I unscrew the knob in front of the hot water pump and hot water came up. I tightened right back. The side of the hot water pump has a metal case that came away as I touched it. It has wires. I had a look at the wire connectors and there is corrosion on the connections. The hot water pump does not run when the taps are on. The green burner comes on for a while. The hot water pump is hot to touch. I hit the hot water pump with a hammer slight it as the tap was running in case it was seized. it did not run. Water pressure at taps in low and tepid water. How do I check the the hot water pump is naked, corrosion, relay or something else related to the hot water pump is the fault?

A hot pump is a seized pump!
