Hi all - new bloke here.

I have a problem with my Powermax 155.

Central heating is fine but the temperature of the hot water is very poor - is there any way I can turn it up ??

I also seem to be suffering with poor hot water pressure - probably due to a build up of limescale (this may explain the temp as well).

Can I fix this myself ?
If not, any steer on a cost to get a professional in ??

Thanks in advance.

I assume that this has never been serviced?

There are several possible causes and I would really recommend getting an engineer who is familiar with this model as they are not generally very popular to work on.

There are two employed potty engineers who look here who are not too far from you.

If you email me from my profile I can give you more details.

There is a blender valve on this boiler which you could try adjusting
If its not this its a good chance its the plate heat exchanger sludged up

Without going into detail, how do you descale these things?

Tony,

Thanks for your help - I have tried emailing but it keeps bouncing back saying undeliverable.

Can I be cheeky and ask you to email me (address on profile).

Thanks mate
