Dan - I like the look of the Atmos Multis but they are very tall....... One question on the Atmos Coopra, does it work with a room thermostat?

Of course, as long as it is low voltage... Same with the Multi.

OP, any of the independent condensing lift pumps can be used. Grundfos is the one I would recommend, NOT the saniflo one. I always use the Vaillant one on my Vaillant installations.

Assuming your powermax is upsatirs in the airing cupboard, why not fit a combi with a traditional vertical flue kit.

The Vaillant Ecotec Plus 937 would be a good replacement for you.
