William's wife Catherine appeared at the church service for the first time following their wedding in April, wearing a plum-coloured hat and coat, but she did not attend the hospital.

Do you really expect all of the Royal Family to visit old Phil everyday?? Come on , how many of us visit relatives when they are in hospital every day? Not even like Catherine is closely related is it. Remember it's still Christmas time and I'm sure they have loads of champers to polish off, Venison and pheasants to be eaten and vino to be drunk. Can't do that when your stuck visiting the old fellow in hospital now.

I reckon Catherine has got her priorities exactly right.
