Hi all
While in the loft I noticed a purlin has twisted away from 3 struts. It looks like it happened some time ago looking at all the dirt in the cracks.
The purlin on the other two roof slopes are OK

Should I panic, worry or forget about it.

Thanks
Jono

Looks to me like the nails are still doing their job. If you can successfully clamp and screw, without splitting the wood, crack on.

That has to be a slate roof above, surely?

Thanks for looking. It's cement tiles on a 1920s semi bungalow. I was thinking of using some u-bolts to secure it
