Hi, i recently moved into a new house and it has a potterton 80e boiler, it has worked fine for the first month and then as soon as a cold snap is predicted, it decided to stop working.
It tells me i have low pressure on my system, so i bled the radiators and increased to pressure to just over 1 bar, still nothing. No hot water, no central heating. It tries to work and makes all the normal noises it makes when i switch it on, but it seems to me like the low pressure light being on wont let it.

any suggestions please, apart from getting a new one.

many thanks

paul

I assume this is a Puma 80E. If the low pressure light is on it is normally due to the sensor switch contacts being faulty or blockage of the port within the sensor or diverter valve (where it screws on). Normally best to replace the sensor and clean out the connection in the diverter valve.

its fairly easy but I would sugges that you get a decent boiler man in as it can turn rough kwik
