Good evening all,

I'm thinking of moving my combi boiler to a larder cupboard, which I know isn't a problem. But then we are thinking of turning this cupboard Into a down stairs toilet. My question is would that be the problem? The boiler will be installed about 2 meters from the ground.

Also as I have a couple of spare ways on the CU would you recommend giving it it's own dedicated circuit or is it just a waste of time?

Thanks for your help.

Boiler can be in the toilet.
Does not need its own circuit, just a fused connection unit off the ring.

Assuming the downstairs WC does not include a shower, bath, swimming pool, sauna, etc then it is just a room like any other. You can have light switches, sockets whatever you like, providing they are installed in accordance with Wiring Regulations.

A new circuit requires Building Control approval and notification, so I would suggest that just extending an exisiting circuit would be a cheaper way to provide power for the boiler.
