Is the liquid as good or better than ptfe tape for rad tails? Also when fitting copper, should ptfe tape be wrapped around the olive?
Thank you for any advice.

It's whatever works for you!
Not used ptfe for over 10 years would probably struggle to find any in van.
Loctite 55 dont use anything else.
We still do a certain amount of screwed steel gas you can't back ptfe lol.

They are all valid methods use whichever you like.

If you go for PTFE then as suggested use the gas version as it's much thicker.

Compression fittings are best with a smear of jointing compound around the olive.

Liquid PTFE works well in new pipework but not if there is moisture in the pipe and you need to put a tiny blob inside the fitting as well the same as you do for threadlock.

Loctite 55 is great stuff but can look very untidy when fitted to rad tails unless you cut the excess back afterwards
