I meant one of these:Not sure why you are suggesting a chrome effect socket.
Seems appropriate for a garage.

OK. I was trying to avoid conductivity on the cord. That was part of the reason I went with the cable clip instead of the eyelet screw.

Water on nylon conducts. Connecting metal to it conducts some more.Conductivity in the cord? What conductivity? They are nylon, one of the better insulators.

You can absolutely wet nylon. Water can attach to small crevices in nylon as it can attach to anything else similarly structured. Go find a cord and get a drop of water on the top. The water will conduct all the way down. You cannot wet nylon, nylon is none absorbent, that is why it is used as the pull cord, and the longer it is, the safer. A metal ring would be absolutely fine, and perfectly safe, as a retainer.

Water is a very poor conductor of electricity. The water will conduct all the way down.
Indeed. Pure water is an insulator.Water is a very poor conductor of electricity.

OOI, did you see any of Louis Rossman's YouTube videos about Bambu printers? Worth watching if you haven't. Particularly if you own one.Took 1 hour of electricity with 20% density of internal honeycomb structure. It's pretty strong for a partial hollow object. It took about 3 meters of china petg, with 100% genuine chinesium built-in. When things are exactly what I want, they are worth every penny.
Not sure why you are suggesting a chrome effect socket. This is a pull cord project. DIY manufacturing has the benefit of no need to wait for delivery or the hassle of dialing in the credit card number.
Water can still cross that joint.
I am no merchant. 100% diyer or your money back.He is a wind-up merchant.
I don't own one. Mine's a cheap new biqu from ebay. Came with a dodgy silicone heat bed wire directly from factory. Fixed it up with pvc wire and it will be good for life. I can block the manufacture's access to the printer if I need to. I have done that with windows for years, and not a single hassle since.OOI, did you see any of Louis Rossman's YouTube videos about Bambu printers? Worth watching if you haven't.
