I have a bathroom light pull switch working off a radial circuit (dropped down to 5A) in a converted garage.

I have 1.5mm cable into the switch for power and out to the light / extractor.

But there is a space problem … too many wires too small a space.

Can I connect the earth wires outside the pull switch rose? This would have to be above the plasterboard in a JB but inaccessible.

Is this acceptable?

I'd suggest getting a MK 5a which has a decent base size, as in

As you can see there's enough room for wires direct to the switch and the odd connector if required.

Do consider that these small fittings don't really allow the luxury of 2" of available core on each wire, cable neatly trimmed, expose cores by 30mm and strip back 5mm for terminating.

What type of pull switch have you got ?[/img]
